As far as I know the next best thing (besides some ideas mentioned)
spare of a discdrive:
 
after a shutdown
on the csl prompt type : start single-user single-disc nosysstart
logon=manager.sys
after the logon type: sysdiag
on the sysdiag> cs80diag section=17ldev=# (where # is the ldev number
for the disc to be erased)
on the dui> init media
retain all spares
