We have an FTP process that is logging on to our HP3000 from a HP9000 every
6 seconds.  This makes the HP3000 system console fairly useless because it
is displaying the logon and the logoff every 6 seconds.  This process also
is a big overhead on our machine and we are starting to investigate the
possibility of using something like Samba to replace this FTP process.  We
understand that Samba-iX is supported on MPE 6.0, but will it run on MPE 5.5
pp7?
