Boston.com has a story about Disney World preparing to TEAR DOWN
Mr. Toad's Wild Ride at Walt Disney World (the one in Florida),
to be replaced with a Winnie the Pooh ride. (Apparently, the story
first appeared in the October 22nd issue of the Orlando Sentinel.)

Oddly, no mention is made of the ride at Disneyland (CA). I know it
was there last year at this time. :)

Disney is making some lame excuse about the ride being "too scary"
for children. This, of course, is sheer lunacy, as children today
are exposed to FAR more scary and violent things then they (we ;)
were in years past.

Anyway, the story (for the three of you still reading ;) is at

<http://www.boston.com/dailynews/wirehtml/339/Internet_led_protest_will_protest_D.htm>

or, for readability (but with an extra embedded return), at

   <http://www.boston.com/dailynews/wirehtml/339/
Internet_led_protest_will_protest_D.htm>

The article references a URL for info about an Internet effort to
save the ride. Unfortunately, that URL is *wrong*. The correct URL
for more info is

   <http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Set/7073/>

(There will be protests in front of the ride at "high noon" for the
next two Sundays, 12/07 and 12/14.)
