In the 1970's, when I was just starting out as a lowly COBOL programmer,
the IBM SE's were being transferred so much that they swore IBM stood for
"I've Been Moved".

The customers thought of them as "Italian Business Men" (ala La Cosa
Nostra)

When the PC Jr. came out in the 80's, IBM was dubbed "Itty Bitty
Machines".

Finally, when CICS took a core dump, we referred to it as an "Immense
Bowel Movement"!
