Hello all and Happy New Year to all!!!

I've run into a situation where I had a internal disc drive on my 987 that took
a hike on me and what I did was configured the system to look at a disk
module on my MOD 20 that is 9 gb.

When I talked to my hardware vendor about just replacing the disc drive inside
of the module instead of buying a whole module for $$$, they told me well its
just cheaper to buy the whole disc module to the MOD 20.

What I wanted to do is run down to Best Buy, pick up a 100gb drive, soldier it
in, and be done with it.

I saw some disc modules for 35gb at $750.

Thats insane!

I picked up a Western Digital 1TB drive from geeks.com for less then $100 for
my home system.

Is there anybody out here that was able to replace the disc without spending
a ton of money?

tia
