Subject: HP & ftp

I know this has been discussed before and someone could say RFTM, which I
would answer "which manual?", but.....

I am trying to FTP from our HP9000 to one of our HP3000. I get connection
refused. I have looked in the SERVICES.NET.SYS and the entry is there
for FTP on port 21.

Any ideas?

Alan,

Assuming that the FTP listener is running (which is culprit #1), then make darn sure
that the logon information is in the order expected by MPE:

Username: USER.ACCOUNT
Password: USERPASS,ACCTPASS

This is usually culprit #2 - where an invalid logon is provided...and the biggest
problem is either a misspelled password (either or both) and/or a missing comma
between the passwords. If there is no user password, the comma is still necessary.

Best,
Joe Geiser
