We are currently experiencing problems with connections to our HP3000
from our users in Korea. These users are using an internet provider
and Minisoft terminal emulator via NS/VT. The ISP connection is a
dedicated 256k link to a router on the LAN. Frequently when they
try to use an HPView mode applications, the app hangs and then the
connection drops.

This problem only happens with one ISP and these are the only user's
experiencing the problem. Seems like it is a network problem as
it started 2 months ago and nothing had changed on our HP.

Is there some way to tell if the ISP network is causing the problem
or to pin-point it so they can fix it? I have been reading about
problems caused by "buffering" on the networks. How can I tell if this
is occuring?

I have tried the work-arounds suggested to fix Ed Milner's Block Mode
problem.

Any help would be appreciated, our users have had to suffer through this
for more than 2 months and the ISP is less than helpful.

Thanks,

Dan Vogel
