After moving files using MPEIX (altfile @[log in to unmask]@(ondevice(xx));dev=yy) off a disk from a private volume, I tried scratchvol on the disk. Strangely enough, the image database which now resided on the other disks could not be accessed (I had taken the precaution to flush any files from memory by rebooting the system). It's not the first time I try this procedure. I know that Lund Performance has a clonedisk utility to duplicate disks, but what if one wants to upgrade say from a 9 Gbyte drive to an 36 Gbytes drive? I checked on the internet to see if anyone had achieved such procedure, but could not find the details of it.

Any feedback regarding this issue will be greatly appreciated for future planning.

Sincerely,

Jean Huot
