I was just going to let this die, but I've gotten several emails about the
last hurrah from Al wondering what really happened, so I thought I should
clarify.

I did *not* in fact contact Al's company, I was basically jerking his chain
because of what had been going on and because I had received some other
private emails from people who had worked with him and they had not
pleasant things to say as well.

If Al does loose his job, it will be for the same reason he has lost all
his other contracts, and based on the emails, that should be pretty
obvious.  Sorry for the waste of time and bandwidth, but too many people
were asking for clarification.
