Since installing PowerPatch 5, we have been experiencing problems and have been working with the RC toward resolution.

We have 2 cases that exhibit problems:

1. A QUIZ subfile that gets erased and re-loaded will sometimes have a bunch
of blank lines in the middle of it.

2. A DBUTIL ERASE of a database that is using DDX modifies the EOF of some
datasets in such a way that the database does not pass Adager's initial consistency check.  It may or may not cause other problems w/the DB.

HP shipped MPEKXJ3A to us, and we installed it.

We have also installed TIXKXA6B.  (It is considered an ENHANCEMENT patch, so it wasn't initially installed with PP5, I had to re-run PATCH/iX and FORCE it.)

As of 6:00 pm MDT 10/8/98:
We have PP5 (default qualified patches) + MPEKXJ3A + TIXKXA6B

Problem 2 above is NOT resolved.  I can still produce it at will.
I have not yet determined if problem 1 above is fixed.  That's Friday's project.

HP RC is confident that MPEKXJ3A has solved problem 1 above, but they are
anxious for us to do more testing.
