Guilty. How do you think I *knew* what to ask for? :-)

Damn. I referred to it enough times that I was hoping one of my
old documents would still be around, including where I'd stashed
a copy of KKAUTIL at the ol' RC. At one time it *was* on at least
two of the boxes in Atlanta, but that was 5 or 6 years ago, too. :-(

Batch renumber is no good, becuase the problem is with the fullness
of the forms file itself, not with a specific individual form. The
suggestion of forcing a global recompile was the first thing I'd
tried before coming to the list, but it didn't free up enough (well,
*any*) space in the forms file.

I bit the bullet and did the form-by-form copy "thing", and it looks
like our lil' belly is just full. Building a clean forms file and
then rebuilding it gave me something around 69% full before compiling
and 97% afterwards.

I'm pulling out my FormsWhacker(tm) and looking at how we're gonna
split the forms file into two, but thanks to everyone for their
suggestions. I was afraid that I was looking at a lot of sheer
caca-del-toro to fix this, and I was right.
