Hello Folks @ 3000-l,

Re: Batch HP3K Telnet Access?

Significant investigation went into Batch Telnet Access by CSY Labs and from
my best
recollection it was determined that timing issues could not be over come
between the 3k
and non-3k systems. These problems were specific (again from my best
recollection) to
the lack of a read trigger arriving from remote non-3k systems. The problem
this difference
in I/O design methodology presented was the non-3k system could not predict
when the 3k
system would send data.

The solution to this problem by CSY Labs is to provide the REMSH
functionality to meet
the requirement to be able to execute commands on remote host.

Also available is the FTP/iX SITE Stream functionality.

I know of no current or future plans to implement batch Telnet access.
