I wonder who that customer was? :)
I also attended the focus group (thanks to an invite from Isaac Blake...
but don't tell the focus group leader it was Isaac's fault :).
OTOH, I attended a similar group at the prior HPWORLD ... and little
has changed in the intervening year. Well, one thing changed...at
Anaheim, there was an HP engineer saying "we're sort of working on something
new" ... he/she wasn't at Chicago, nor did anyone know about any projects :(
In short, I see no evidence of a comittment to make any changes to improve
any of the myriad shortcomings of HP ESC.
BTW, I unfortuantely had to leave HPWORLD '97 early ... so I missed the
HP Management Round Table. Did my pre-submitted question about HP ESC
come up? When it was asked at Anaheim, HP replied "we'll get back to you".
I'm still waiting.
