I have a programmer who is trying to sort a large file using Cognos. The
program bombs with a 736 error. Cognos tech support indicates that there
is not enough disk space for the sort.

If I calculate the maximum possible size of the file to be sorted is about
.5GB. I have over 10 million sectors free in the volume set. Over 4
million of contiguous free space on each of two of the Ldevs.

Does the Cognos product build the temporary sort file somewhere else than
the account it is beig run from?

Any other ideas on what I should look at?

Thanks.
