I have used Netscape (V.2.02E) with RNS and it works. Netscape doesn't
care what WINSOCK.DLL file it uses. In fact, most programs don't and you
can usually mix and match. I have used Netscape with the Compuserve
dialler and I now access Compuserve with Trumpet Winsock via my ISP (fast
connection, too, using ISDN - I don't think too many people know that you
connect to Compuserve at ISDN speeds this way).
I think your problem is a little different (and a little more complicated).
I presume that you are using you LAN to connect to the HP3000, which is
the default for RNS. Your connection to your ISP is different because it
goes over the phone line using PPP, not over the LAN. You can add this
serial connection, the instructions are in the WRQ manual. I don't know if
there are any complications, because I've only used the serial connection.
I use Trumpet Winsock because the RNS serial connection is painfully slow
(19 seconds to connect, which is impossibly long if you have an ISDN
connection). Unfortunately you can't mix the two and I don't think Trumpet
will handle both connections. Reflection is perfectly happy using Trumpet.
