I just noticed that Google has some specialized areas for searching:

http://www.google.com/unclesam U.S. Government pages
http://www.google.com/linux Linux related pages. Type in MPE and get Mr.
Osborne's porting to MPE site first!
http://www.google.com/bsd - BSD pages
http://www.google.com/mac - Macintosh related pages
http://www.google.com/microsoft.html - Microsoft technology related pages

Now, it returns pages that have related content and not just restricted by a
particular domain.

OTOH, they also have a University search which does search just the domain
for a particular school. For example, if you go to New Mexico State and
search for Atmar, there's a few references to one JW Atmar.
