This is an updated posting.  Several people responded and asked for additional information.

We are on HP3000 version 5.5 powerpatch 7.  We can not upgrade.  So we are stuck at 5.5.  We are trying to get our reports to go to the user either in PDF of HTML format, or some other format, so that the user can decide whether to print it or just look at it. We tried PDF and when we transfer it to the pc to view it it is giving us an error.  The spoolfile is about 500 pages.  So trying to WRQ file transfer it is very long and usually times out.  We do not want to spend a lot of money on this.  We would spend up to 1000 dollars to get this done.  When I tried HTML it was configured as 4 columns.  Every  4 lines of the report were all the way across the first line, and so on for the rest of the report.  Unacceptable results.
