Michele,

Yep, did that. However it was ummm......May of 1995 so I don't remember all the
details. Had a bunch of hassle with PHNMUDC.CURRENT.COGNOS and all we
run is QUIZ. Although I don't remember the specifics, the problem(s) were
resolved "in house" without a call to HOGNOSE.

At that time we were on MPE/iX 4.0 pp?. When we went to 5.0 all worked well
except our OMNIQUEST/OMNIDEX proceeded to cause the system to think it
had two CPU's. Other than that (no QUIZ reports for a day) it was pretty
smooth.

 RANT DIVISION.
 VENDORS SECTION.

  01-001-000-WHY-PARAGRAPH.
WHY WHEN WE UPGRADE TO A NEWER OPERATING SYSTEM AND I CALL
ALL THIRD PARTY VENDORS DON'T THEY SAY YES "OUR PRODUCT WILL
RUN UNDER THAT OS" DON'T THEY ALSO SAY "BUT YOU NEED THIS
        UPGRADE/PATCH?".

         PERFORM 01-001-010-END-RANT THRU 01-010-999-EXIT.

         STOP RUN.

 01-001-010-END-RANT.
IF TIME-LINE MOVES RIGHT AND YOU HAVE TO CALL VENDOR MORE
THAN ONCE WHY DON'T THEY SAY "YES IT WILL WORK UNDER MPE/Ix
VERSION NN.NN.NN BUT IT REQUIRES A PATCH OR SOMETHING?"
 ELSE
          ALL IS COOL.

 01-001-999-END-RANT.
      EXIT.

Subject: Cognos version 7.29 c

Dear Listers,

I have been given the task of installing/upgrading our current version of
Cognos 7.09 to 7.29c.
I was wandering if anyone out there has done this and were there any
issues.

Also, I am not sure if this is supported on the c.50.04 or the c.55.04
operating system.

Any clues / comments would be appreciated.

Thank you in advance,
Michele Conant
