I have a client who is using Road Runner for backups. He has been told
that it won't work on MPE 5.5 and they want $1,600 for upgrade.

He is wondering first, why won't it work, when HP generally keeps everything
backwards compatible, and why should he pay $1,600 for features that appear
now to be available from HP (I am not familiar with 5.5 features, but he
said it has a new backup utility that compresses the data, along with
other features, like on-line backup). I would assume only problem with
not having Road Runner, is that he has backup tapes made with it and what
could one do with those after the upgrade and now he can't run Road Runner
without spending the $1,600....

Thanks...
