I've been creating a library with the following command in "linkedit" -
addxl from=mylib;to=myxl;merge; rl=LIBCINIT.LIB.SYS,socketrl.net.sys
"mylib" is a C .a file that I created with "c89" and "ar" at the shell
prompt.
I managed to find out about "socketrl.net.sys" by searching this news
group to resolve the socket calls but there are a few functions I'm
still stuck on -
UNRESOLVED EXTERNALS: srand (LDRERR 512)
UNRESOLVED EXTERNALS: ioctl (LDRERR 512)
UNRESOLVED EXTERNALS: sigemptyset (LDRERR 512)
UNRESOLVED EXTERNALS: sigaction (LDRERR 512)
UNRESOLVED EXTERNALS: alarm (LDRERR 512)
I found a posting about "alarm" but it just said to look in
/etc/c89.cfg. I looked in there and found a line that goes through all
the libraries in "DLibs" and adds them. But I can't see how "DLibs"
gets set - it's not set in /etc/c89.cfg.
My MPE knowledge is very limited so please keep it simple if anyone has
some advice.
Thanks.
Peter
