Hi James,

NMMGR and the HP3000 is correct 192.168.0.x is a class C network subnet. I copied the below information from a internet search.

Address ranges to be use by private networks are:
Class A: 10.0. 0.0 to 10.255. 255.255.
Class B: 172.16. 0.0 to 172.31. 255.255.
Class C: 192.168. 0.0 to 192.168. 255.255  <-- This is class C by name, but it has a 255.255.0.0 range.  Weird!

I fired up a demo HP3000 and configured the HP3000 as follows and it validated correctly.

As far as I can determine I have configured NMMGR correctly. The IP address assigned has a net-mask value of 255.255.0.0. However, the gateway configuration does not recognize 192.168.0.1 as belonging to the net-block of the assigned IPv4 address.

I note that a C class value is displayed in both the node and gateway IP address fields, and this cannot be changed.

Network Interface IP Address:        C 192.168.216 102
              IP Subnet Mask:          255.255.000.000

          Gateway IP Address:        C 192.168.216 001  <<== this validates
          Gateway IP Address: C 192.168.000 001 <<== this does not
