Should be no problem.

Yes.  (Not an SPL limit...an MPE limit.  Note that this limit is much, much
higher than most Unix systems default to (although their max limit may be
higher than MPE's limit).)

(BTW, your mailer needs to have "wrap" or some such turned on...each

to insert the ">" in the quote above.
Why should you care?  Sometimes I simply discard such email!)

MPE/iX should allow you to open about 1000 files (1023?).  Each dataset (and
the database root) is a file, so if you open two databases of about 25
datasets each, that could easily use file numbers 10..66 (57 file numbers).
