I've never tried transferring a KSAM file by FTP. Up to now, HP has said that
it's impossible and I've just taken them at their word. Please see:

However, in the 6.0 Communicator, HP says that with the advent of MPE/iX 6.0,
you can now transfer both CM and NM KSAM files by FTP. Upgrading to 6.0 may be
all that you need to do.
