You absolutely MUST install "Express 3" (which is a "PRODUCT/SUBSYS tape")
before you install "PowerPatch 7"; otherwise, the patches in "PowerPatch 7"
for the product that were updated via "Express 3" won't qualify. No, there
doesn't appear to be anything in the release notes which mentions this.

As near as I have been able to figure, an "Express" release is a
"PRODUCT/SUBSYS tape", and a "PowerPatch" is, well, a "PowerPatch tape".

Also, it's fun to note that there ARE NO installation instructions for an
"Express" release. The "System Software Maintenance Manual" only has
checklists for various combinations of "Patches", "Add-ons", and "Installs".
You have to just guess that to install an "Express" release, you need to
follow the one of the "Add-on purchased products" checklists, and to install
a "PowerPatch", you need to follow one of the "Manage Patches" checklists.
The only mention of "PowerPatch" is the checklists for "Using AUTOINST to
Apply PowerPatch", but HP has said numerous times on HP3000-L (and other
places) that we should be using Patch/iX instead of AUTOINST.

Have fun!
