At the end of the statement, you need to add ";keep;exit" .  This will
force the keep and exit commands in QUAD.

        Sent I have upgraded our HP3000 to 5.5, mpex editquad has
stopped working.
        I get the following is the results:

        At this point it stops and I have to do a <ctrl> <break> then
type abort to
        get the prompt back. No change is made to the file.
