 Hello Kent,

You wrote:

I am using IMAGE without SQL. I use the ODBC to extract a field by a OMNIDEX
key and non key field. Because of the very fast speed of the extract by
OMNIDEX key, I must assume that MBFoster must extract by the OMNIDEX key.

And I reply ...

Yes we do support Omnidex indices as well as Superdex - this is especially
useful when "real" databases with millions of records are being searched. Much
of user expectations have been set using "toy" databases and when the real
world is bigger the only way to get the quick response times is to use the
indexed fields where possible.

Our current product write-up are in the manual or on our website at:

You might also want to look at our JBDC2 access which will allow a WebLogic or
Websphere front end to "serve up" the HP3000 as a series of web services.

We are providing classes on our products both over the web, at your site and in
our classrooms ... drop me a note for more info (remove the NOSPAM to be able
to reply)

Thanks for the question
