As far as I am aware, there are no utilities to dial a pager from the
HP3000. However, its not difficult to write a routine to do this.
I have a talk that I gave at several conferences in the distant past called
"Dialing Out from the HP3000" that goes into the gory details. I will be
happy to e-mail Guido a copy if he would like (I wouldn't want to clutter
up this list with it). Also, as a consultant, I specialize in this kind of
endeavor <plug>, and would be happy to help him!.
However, just to dial a pager should require a very simple procedure. Try
fcopying the dial command to the modem port. It should work, but you will
not get anything fancy, like error detection, retrying, etc. It just
depends on what you are looking for.
