Hey...that's what I've seen recently on RESTOREs from software-compressed
tapes on one of our HP 3000s (running MPE/iX 6.0 PP 1).  (I.e., the error
I've seen had nothing to do with Patch/iX).

The RESTORE code *MUST* be fixed to report *what* error it encountered.
Simply saying "I failed" isn't adequate.  Why did it fail?  It knows...it should
tell us!

This needs to be discussed with the STORE group, not just the patch
creation/distribution group!

I reported the problem to the HP ESC, call ID A5904993.  Unfortunately,
the response was useless and the SR was closed without my permission.
