Several people have replied and suggesting things I already tried, and I'm
wondering if perhaps I misinterpreted the original question from our
programmer working on this. A couple of clarifications:

* This is being executed *in batch*, so not a termulator issue,
* This is on X.55.20 (I guess I can say that now that it's in MR),
* After rethinking this scenario, the originator of the question may be
confusing execution of the program (they are building the cmd file for)
with the subsequent batch execution. If this is the case then I simply
misunderstood and they need to suppress echo in their application.

I was afraid I was going to stick my foot in my mouth on this one, and I
may very well have :-) Will have to check with them in the morning.
