Well, my approach has been to immerse myself in as much
Windows/Linux/web/GUI/networking stuff as possible. I reached the conclusion that it is near
impossible to predict where the computer industry is going. Given that, I am
trying to cover as many bases as possible. Currently, I am enrolled in 7 classes
at local community colleges. Call it the 'shotgun approach' if you like.
All of this stuff is fairly easy but there is sure a LOT of it! Sometime
soon I will be collecting various Microsoft and Cisco certificates. That is
becoming something of a requirement for employment as far as I can tell. Any
other opinions on that?
Wayne
PS: CA is now charging all of $54 for a 3 unit comm. college class - a
bargain!
