Well, that's a spooler process. It's possible to
use Debug/iX to set a breakpoint for process 44 in one or
both of HPCIGETVAR and HPERRMSG. This isn't trivial, however.
How often does it occur?
...the answer affects how irksome the Debug/iX process might be.
With Debug, you could fairly easily cause all HPCIGETVAR calls
for PIN 44(including the variable name) to be displayed at
the hardware console. For calls to HPERMSG, you could display
a stacktrace of PIN 44.
