Hi Steve :)
Someone will correct me if I am wrong... but when I did my disaster
recovery plans back at a former gig I found out that HP could reset the HP
SUSAN on a "disaster box" so that I wouldn't have to get my vendors to send
me new activation codes....

And actually I also had a co-op agreement with another site (across the
city) that had a basically identical box... if we crashed ... I would move
my backup tapes and staff over to their site and work from 6 pm to 6 am
while they would work from 6 am to 6pm... lots of backups and reloads....
but it would work...even passed Arthur Anderson's Information System Review
process for disaster recovery!!

The other site of course was set to do the same thing on my box... :) (but
then all the company I was working for back then did was pay $20,000 to get
told what I had been telling them for years! hehehe)

As someone else will mention... always have 2 of everything possible! and
when it comes to network servers that doesn't cost near as much as downtime
does!

Art "haven't needed to test my disaster recovery plans ... yet! " Bahrs
