Patrick ... we have a JetStore DDS-2 drive connected to our 996-500 from
within a Series 6000 rackmount assembly via a SCSI-2 connection, so I'm
reasonably sure you can connect yours. What is the specific model number
of your drive?

Subject: HP JetStore DAT Drive - 3000 Compatible?
Believe it or don't, our 995/500 doesn't have a DAT drive on it. We are
constantly receiving DDS & DDS-2 tapes (including tapes from HP, who
*should* know our configuration, right??) and have to copy them (if
possible) to 2400-ft 9-track reels on our 928, which has both types of
drives.
Does anyone know if we can connect an HP JetStore drive (via its SCSI
connector) to the 3000? (We already have several of these drives so it
would be a low/no-cost solution.) If so, how should it be configured in
SYSGEN?
Patrick, thinking outside the box again.
