For all who have suggested I do something with the logs, you don't into account the anal retentive aspect of management here who wants to see these   msgs as quickly as possible if there is a problem.

The option of doing a SWITHLOG followed by an extract of data from the log files for that day followed by an examination of the data is "Too much of a production". They want to look at a hard copy or online copy NOW.

And don't argue with me about this!!! You're preaching to the choir!!!
