In my estimation, Outlook is far superior to the standard Exchange agent. I
have been using Outlook 97 for several years now, and after applying the SR-1
and SR-2 patches and adding a couple of freebies from MS, I find it very stable
and quite good. I really do not have a problem with it. I keep everything in
Outlook, for me it is far more than a simple mail program. If you are looking
for a pure e-mail program without scheduling and tracking and all sorts of
other bells and whistles, then Eudora is fine as is Outlook Express. BTW, one
gets OE when one installs IE 4.x or IE 5.x.

I should also mention that I work exclusively on a laptop, which can be docked
at work on the network or more usually traveling with me somewhere. Outlook 97
enables me to have all my mail with me at all times. It only has one (arguably
very large) file which contains everything Outlook uses. I backup that file
religiously.

Kind regards,

Denys. . .

We use MS Exchange but I've heard alot of good and bad things about
Outlook. Has anyone used both? How do they compare?
