I'm sure that this question has come up before but I could not find it
in my records.

We have some users who log on through network connections using the
lowest unused device number.
Some of these sessions were aborted leaving the LDEVs unusable.
They show as AVAIL but not as accepting jobs or sessions.
I need to assign those device numbers to ports on DTCs but I do not know
how to clear them. Any ideas?

On another subject: our HP3000 is to be replaced with an HP9000. Is
there a listserver for HP-UX systems?
[The Powers That Be are of the opinion that the 3000 will be gone in 18
months: 4 years minimum is my estimate.]
