Apart from the fact that FS 72 is "invalid file number", which I think means
a file system call used a number that doesn't relate to a file known to the
process......I would guess that query cant locate the transaction mgr file,
or the dbopen cant do the connection.
Do you same error with a program open? Not surprised that DBUTIL does a
different open from Query and others.

error message, which I've never seen before :

CANNOT ATTACH ROOT FILE TO MPE XL XM : FILE SYSTEM ERROR 72

Any suggestions, as always, are GREATLY appreciated....
