First of all I want to thank Rick Ehrhart for responding;
his comments give us some insight into the "internal"
history of disc mirroring.  I also find it encouraging in
that there is at least the strong implication there are
no technical show-stoppers to prevent mirroring the
System VS;  just that doing the System VS is harder.
 
SIDEBAR:  If deciding which disc to boot from is at
least part of the problem, couldn't this be solved by
adding another parameter to stable storage ??.....
 
Our site would like to request that mirroring the System
VS be added to the SIGMPE enhancement request list.
We will certainly push for this at IPROF-96........
