Hi Tom,

Try putting "" around it.
I don't have access to a HP3000 from here ;-(

Subject: [HP3000-L] Anybody want to take a crack at this?

Hello fellow MPE-ers:

I'm trying to display the following line from a command file:

     defragx.defragx.lps<stdin1

using the command:  echo      defragx.defragx.lps<stdin1.

Naturally, the command file tries to execute the echo statement using
the
file stdin1 as input. Duh?? I'm trying several workarounds but keep
coming
up short. Anybody out there tried anything similar? Thanks!!

Tom Madigan

P.S. I've tried things like:echo     defragx.defragx.lps![chr(60)]stdin1
(doesn't work either!!)
