Craig is referring to a posting I made a few years ago, but I should
clarify that I was quoting from an article written by Allen Hertling.  I
should have credited him in my posting.  You can read his entire article
in the 7.5 Communicator at docs.hp.com.

Yes, I still read the -L.  I even post occasionally, especially in the
rare case that someone posts a COBOL question that hasn't already been
answered by the time I see it.
