HP's terminal escape sequences are unique, so I definitly wouldn't bother
with NetManage or Exceed.

Your choices are basically.

WRQ..Reflection - expensive, more features than most people use, supports
NS/VT and Telnet, excellent emulation
MiniSoft..WS92 - cheap, good feature set, supports NS/VT and Telnet
excellent emulation, but doesn't necessarily look as "sexy" as Reflection
AICS..QCTerm - free, does nothing other than emulation (no file transfer),
but some other very unique features, Telnet only, very good emulation.

Then you have the oddball's out there that keep jumping in and out like
Rumba and a few others.

Subject: Newbie: seeks advice on term emulator choices, and training

Hi all, I'm looking for comments on the HP sys admin training (our 3000
arrives next quarter).

Also, what are the "features" required for a terminal emulator package?
The word we have from another division is that WRQ's Reflection is the
ONLY product to use; NetManage and Exceed "lack something", but no one
seems to know the specifics.

Thanks for any and all feedback!
