I thought magenta, though burgundy works too.  But when you mention
"rich corinthian" I'm expecting Tattoo to run in shouting "Boss!  Boss!

I've never thought of Alfredo as the Ricardo Montalban type.  However I
can see him as Fernando Llamas.  Perhaps if you've ever caught the
Lucy-Desi Comedy hour (best place to find it is on Nick at Nite on
Saturday night) where they go to Sun Valley and meet Fernando Llamas
(deja vu all over again as Yogi would say) you would see what I'm
talking about.
