Yes, a disk array may be configured as LDEV1.  It used to be true that
only the C2252B/HA 2.7 GB arrays were supported as LDEV1 (we use one at
our production site as LDEV1), but I don't believe those drives are
available from HP any longer - the C2258B/HA 4.0 GB array is its
replacement.  Your best bet is to contact your HP sales rep or the
Response Center for verification of support as LDEV 1.
