I downloaded ryder from http://jazz.external.hp.com/
and installed it into our mpe/ix 5.0
(RELEASE: X.50.20 MPE/iX HP31900 B.76.22 USER VERSION: X.50.20)
with success.

I put the program (with PM) into a group which has PM capabilities
and started shell/ix. Ryder seemed to work fine, but when I
tried to make an archive of a non-accessed TurboImage database,
got an error msg:

Loading truck 'ARCHIVE':
FCODE SIZE EOF LIMIT ACCESS FILENAME
A privileged file code violation occurred. (FILE OPEN ERROR -463)
 File System message 463
 Skipping 'DBXYZ'. etc.

The command which I used was:
shell/ix>/ACCT/GROUP/RYDER -c ARCHIVE DBXYZ*

Should I expect ryder to work with PRIV files?

Thanks in advance,
