"The Loved One"....was mentioned earlier in this thread.... it's a very very
dark comedy based on a very very dark comedy written by Evelyn Waugh (who was
one of three persons credited with the screenplay).  Another list-person was
reminded of "The Loved One" by the original asides about a company lawn
mower...and mused about where to get a copy....  The cover of the novel is a
cartoon of a mausoleum with a roof-mounted tv antenna.
