Michael,
you may use FTP from Unix and stream a job using SITE STREAM command to
execute specific commands on MPE/iX following a specific action on Unix.
Using CGI on an MPE based Web Server you can execute all commands in all
combinations you want to have, eg. programm execution based on a WEB Form
Input, Query Output into HTML, and and and .... I use this functionality
very excesssive (some Ratingen guys know what I mean ;-)
Not everything in Posix will work as expected because of the Streams
Interface but up to now, I got everything working I need!
If you need more information let me know to discuss off-line ... you know
my number!

Hello Mark,
I tried the example and as I understand only hardcoded commands
can be executed this way.
Some background about the application:
Software configuration management with source code on UX that
needs to be uploaded to MPE, then compiles on MPE and
download results (compile listing,..) to UX
My requirement is to execute many fixed commands (upload)
each with a variable file name during one UX based event.
Could this be accomplished with this are another solution?
