The main stipulation is that all food & drink in the conference centre must be provided by the conference caterers so we cannot have a BYO. I am therefore looking for someone to sponsor this 'event' so we can have a fun time together as HP3000 enthusiasts. Do you think HP would be interested? [...]44_6Aug200414:37: [log in to unmask] |

Tony,
Since only users with SM capability can 'save' files across MPE accounts,
you could set up a batch job, running under MANAGER.SYS, that would perform
the copying. You could develop a 'custom copy' command, implemented with a
UDC or a command file, that interfaces with said batch job and moves the
file into the desired account. The batch process would receive requests
through a message file, perform the file transfer, optionally assign ACDs,
and report back to the command file (using another message file) the
results.
I'm using a similar scheme for 'single threading'' numeric page
transmissions from our HP3000 and, in the past, I have used something
similar to dynamically change the host's IP address in the Reflection
'settings' file.
Regards
Paul Christidis
