Michael,
Our reasons for not patching are basically reasons 1 &
2. I really don't like to mess with a stable system.
And I don't see any good reason to apply a patch that
just might have a bug in it and then you've got to
install yet another patch. Not that patches are
necessarily flawed but it has been know to happen.
