Actually, the Eagle 8-pack was a great big cabinet in which one could have 2
columns of 4 drives with windows in front. The whole thing weighed over
1000 pounds and it was a vast improvement over the 7933 disk drives. That
4GB cabinet was worth over $100,000 fully loaded. I got a USB thumb drive
with 2GB for $50 some months back.

Tony,
FYI, the Eagle drives were closer to 300lbs, and you could stack 4 of them,
IIRC.

Does anybody know where I can find one of those old LARGE drives that was
about 12" wide by about 12" tall by about 30" long and weighed like 60
pounds? I think (if I remember right) that it was an old eagle drive? It
doesn't need to actually work as I just want it for nostalgic purposes but I
would like to try and find one that is close to Portland, OR. as the
shipping for
that must be outrageous.
Thanks.
