I think so.  But I've never personally played with these, since here at
cccd.edu in my role as postmaster and DNS-master I have sendmail and bind
cooperating harmoniously without needing anything more than sendmail basics.

Only if you don't care about having sendmail log successful and unsuccesful
deliveries.

I strongly recommend installing Syslog/iX.  It's by far the simplest of all
of my POSIX ports to install and configure.
